The New York City annex of Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum just opened last November... and now it's going to close on January 3rd! 1010Wins notes that the one-year-wonder gave no reason given for closing, but the CEO told a local Cleveland paper that "the decision was made by corporate partners who had backed the $10 million annex in downtown Manhattan." Earlier this year the space housed a great John Lennon in NYC exhibit... but allegedly attendance over the past year wasn't what the powers that be expected. Ohio has officially arrived in New York! This summer Mayor Bloomberg announced that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would open an Annex in SoHo, officially extending the Cleveland museum all the way to Manhattan.
