">book about kabuki. Check out some sushi via Sushi NYC and NYC Sushi Finder. And Gothamist visited the Lincoln Center Festival last year with a trip on the Angel Project.

If you happen to have some tokens left, you can go to the subway clerk booth at either end of Roosevelt Island to exchange them until March 15. And the last time we used a token was to take the tram to Roosevelt Island for the Angel Project.

You can tell a lot about a year by seeing which posts were popular, and from Gothamist's standpoint, it's been a banner year for our readers who are perverts or nerds (we're hoping the loyal readers are both). Here are a few of our most popular posts: Thoughts on the Matrix Reloaded; 100 Best Songs; when we pretended to know all about friendster messages; Paris Hilton sex tapes and her SNL appearance; Nicole Richie's racial identity; What not to do when you blog; Jelly Kelly; Best Movie Sex Scenes; Michael Jackson's mugshot; Nudist camps for teenagers; Blackout Edition; Lever House Restaurant; Metrosexuals; Hating Lauren Weisberger (related, Weisberger on her boss Anna Wintour ), Jayson Blair, Blair Hornstine; Larry Wachowski's possible sex change; anything on teenaged stars, speficially Hilary Duff (related, her nutty fans); the New York City Blackout Edition; and our Events page, brought to life by editor Mindy and intern Willa.

Gothamist Goes on The Angel Project
Scavenger hunt as installation art: Gothamist investigates.

The view of Manhattan's East Side, from Roosevelt Island. It's interesting to see how the Trump World Tower dominates the East Side skyline, amongst the Chrysler, MetLife (former Pan-Am), and Citicorp Center buildings. At this size and resolution, you can barely make out the airplane in the sky, which is what Gothamist was trying to shoot in the first place, as we are fascinated by planes in relation to city buildlings.

Gothamist embarked on The Angel Project this past weekend, which seems to be causing a stir. The performance art installation is running through July 27, so in order not to spoil the experience for people headed there, our in-depth coverage will launch next week. Until then, we'll be posting images from the "solitary walk." Here are the instructions Gothamist received with the ticket.

Possibly the coolest thing to do between now and July 27 is go to Deborah Warner's Angel Project, a performance installation in the Lincoln Center Festival. You show up at the Roosevelt Island tram and then you're sent on a scavenger hunt in the city.
