Switcharoo at CBS 2 This week, veteran anchors Jim Rosenfield and Dana Tyler, who were anchoring at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., switched newscasts with Chris Wragge and Kristine Johnson, who were anchoring the noon and 5 p.m. We think that moving younger talent to the higher profile 11 p.m. newscast is probably an attempt to get some younger viewers. CBS 2 News did a bit of an unexpected midweek transition to HD news yesterday becoming the third station in the city and the second CBS owned and operated station in the country to do so after KYW in Philadelphia went HD last week. Sam Champion Leaves WABC Longtime channel 7 weather presenter Sam Champion left the station last week to work full time for ABC News where he has been the morning weather presenter for Good Morning America since September. Champion, who is not a meteorologist, originally joined WABC to be an anchor, but was quickly shuffled into weather presenting. After taking the Good Morning America weather presenter spot, Champion’s duties were reduced to the 5 p.m. newscast......

Mostly sunny, high of 80. Gothamist sees some rain on the weather.com radar, but apparently they don't think it'll come our way. Yesterday Gothamist was aimlessly perusing the Nola.com website in search of some Louisiana news.
