Police found three suspects involved in the shooting of the operator of Alex's Tobacco shop on Broadway at West 71st Street. WABC 7 reports the three were found at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The store's manager is stable condition after the 4:30 p.m. incident yesterday; according to the Post, "One of the men fired a shot into the air to announce they were robbing the store...[Then] one of the robbers then grabbed a box as the other fired a shot that hit the charging owner in the hip." (The shop is a popular lottery ticket destination, as it's right near the West 72nd 1/2/3 station.) Witnesses had seen two masked men leave in an idling car, which was later found abandoned on West End Avenue. And a resident told the Daily News, "I can't believe this happened in this neighborhood.
