Last night a Kickstarted, New England-style clam shack opened in Brooklyn. Say hello to Littleneck everybody! Gowanus Yacht Club Owner Sued By Estranged Wife In Bitter Battle For Bucks

Leslie Parks, the daughter of famed photographer Gordon Parks, is suing her soon-to-be ex-husband, semi-celeb chef and restaurateur Alan Harding, over $115,000 that he allegedly handed over to his brother instead of sharing with her. Parks says Harding, who owns Patois and Gowanus Yacht Club, hasn't been paying child support, and claims he was supposed to put money from the sale of a Cobble Hill house into an escrow account to be divvied up by a judge for his arrears. Instead, he's got his brother Jeffrey holding the money, Parks claims. more ›

The guys often credited with sparking the Carroll Gardens’ restaurant renaissance are being chased “through the streets with pitchforks,” according to Patois co-owner Alan Harding. The Times has a long profile on his team's 12-plus restaurants, and reports that some Brooklyn residents are officially fed up with all these places to eat. “If Brooklyn is a frontier, where a free-ranging chef can throw down his bag of knives, stake out a liquor license and fillet the roaming buffalo — or at least a little brisket — then the frontier is beginning to close.
