Times Square has always offered a nice dose of "weird," whether it be in the pre-Giuliani days or its now more Disney-fied incarnation. Now some more strange will be saturating the area, in the form a famous Odditorium. Yes, tourists will be able to see things like locks of Abe Lincoln's hair after having a nice meal at the Olive Garden.

Gothamist is getting reports from all over that the anti-war protest currently going on down Broadway is a shockingly large one. Though it is only supposed to go from Union Square down Broadway to Worth Street, we're hearing reports of protesters backing up all the way to Madison Square!

Abe Lincoln Jr (the guy who does those cute little streetart birds all around downtown) has an opening tonight at the Orchard Street Gallery-- 7 to 10pm @ 139 Orchard Street. Kidrobot is sponsoring, and the first 50 people through the door get a free toy. Everyone else gets tacos. Yes-- we did say tacos:

Gothamist noticed that Senator Kerry really loves to speak at places with statuary of Important Americans: He stood in front of an Abe Lincoln bust at Cooper Union, and later he was alongside Ben Franklin in Philadelphia yesterday. If his handlers are saying Kerry's got the immovable stone looks of an inanimate object, it's working!
