"Shut The F*ck Up!" Yelled Mom Before Abandoning Daughters On Brooklyn Street

Neighbors say the Brooklyn woman who was arrested for abandoning her two young daughters alongside the Shore Parkway has a history of verbally berating her children with violent and vulgar invective. After she turned herself over to police last night just before midnight, reporters descended on Dalisha Adams's Brooklyn home and started knocking on doors near her residence. “She was always yelling at the kids, ‘Shut the f--- up,’" one neighbor tells the Daily News. "One day, I heard her curse out the little baby, ‘I’ll punch you in the f------ face.’" more ›

Boy Left At St. Pat's Will See His Grandparents Soon

The grandparents of a three-year-old who was abandoned at St. Patrick's Cathedral earlier this week are overjoyed because they will be reunited with him today. Little Nathaniel Fons approached a church guard on Tuesday night; the guard found a note in his pocket with the number of a Florida detective. Fons' mother had been arrested for using a counterfeit $100 bill, leaving Nathaniel to her friends' cares. The NYPD is looking for the friends, who are also suspected of being part of the counterfeiting ring, and Commissioner Kelly said, "They would face the charges for endangering the welfare of a child. He's three years of age. They put him out by himself outside of a St. Patrick's Cathedral." more ›

Puppy Tied to FDR

Puppy Tied to FDR

Pet abandoners: please do not leave animals tied to the FDR! Jennie Min of NJ says: "I went to Manhattan today and found somebody tied a small pitbull right on the FDR Drive! She looked so afraid and was crying when I found her." Min waited an hour to see if the owner would show, then tried three non-kill shelters, all of which had no space. Since she can't take on another dog, she left her with Animal Care & Control... which means it doesn't have much time to live. She asked the ACC to contact her if they are forced to put her to sleep, and is hoping someone will save her before that happens. [via GirlieGirlArmy] more ›

Lawyer Says Mad Mom Didn't Abandon Kids On Road

Lawyer Says Mad Mom Didn't Abandon Kids On Road

Here we go: Park Avenue lawyer Madlyn Primoff, who was arrested earlier this week after forcing her squabbling children out of the car and driving away, now has a lawyer telling the press, "She wasn't abandoning her children. She expected to find her children." See, Primhoff had dumped the kids in downtown White Plains and told them to walk the 3 miles home to Scarsdale—but apparently she didn't really mean it because she drove around the block and couldn't find them! Primhoff reportedly picked up her husband and then started looking again, finding only the 12-year-old. A good Samaritan picked up the remaining daughter, 10, and, after stopping at Carvel to cheer the girl up with some ice cream, took her to the White Plains police station. Meanwhile, Primoff called the Scarsdale police about her missing younger daughter; Scarsdale cops, who say that Primoff didn't explain how the child went missing, told Primoff the girl was with the White Plains police. Primoff, who spent the night in jail for the incident, is free on bail and heads back to court next month. more ›

His family, thrilled that he's safe, spoke to WCBS 2 about finding him. His father Elmer Rivera said when he went to the bus depot and asked two workers to look for him one came "back with tears in her eyes" because she found him and they broke into the bus and took of their coats to warm him up. Additionally, a CAT scan showed foam in his system—his sister said he had eaten foam and vinyl from the bus seat during his ordeal. The bus matron who was responsible for noticing Rivera was still on the bus (she allegedly did know he was there when she left) has been charged with reckless endangerment. more ›
