The Weather Service is saying today's high will be a seasonable 46, but we think that is optimistic. There's a bit of vertical mixing going on, where cold air aloft gets churned up with warm air near the surface, that will likely put a damper on the day's heating.......

Time, once again, to break out the tiny violins. It's hard living in luxury condos with commanding views! The Wall Street Journal has a long article on the trials and tribulations bravely endured by those whose floor-to-ceiling windows are turning their high rise apartments into hot boxes. It seems that some people don't realize that their expansive view of the Hudson also comes with too much damn sunlight! Can't the local community boards do anything......

That wet streak will be broken today and clear skies should prevail through much of the Memorial Day weekend. Today and tomorrow share the same forecast - sunny, breezy and slightly cooler than normal, with highs around 70 degrees. The wet spell has been accompanied by an even longer run......
