Celtics 86, Nets 77: Maybe the Nets should play as well in the even quarters as they do in the odd periods. New Jersey got outscored 23-9 in the fourth quarter and fell to the 30-4 Celtics. Josh Boone did well -- except when he was at the free-throw line. He had 14 points and 16 rebounds in 37 minutes, but he went 0-for-6 from the stripe. The Nets as a team made only 9......

Nets 96, Magic 95: Vince Carter won this game with two clutch free throws at the end, but it was former Magic Darrell Armstrong who provided the biggest of several sparks off the bench. Last night, the Tampa Bay Lightning won The Stanley Cup, defeating the Calgary Flames 2-1 in the 7th game of the NHL Finals. Led by Ruslan Fedotenko's two goals, the 12 year-old Lightning franchise won its first championship and is the first team formed in the 90's to win the Cup. There is nothing quite like a 12 year-old team winning The Stanley Cup, a trophy awarded for 111 years making it the oldest......

With the Stanley Cup Finals starting tonight, Gothamist got to wondering, what is the most physically demanding playoff sport? Assuming we only consider sports in the United States, that limits us to the NBA, NFL, MLS, MLB, and NHL. We're just going to eliminate football and baseball because football plays once a week and baseball, well, if you've seen a baseball game, you know why. The NBA and its players have had an absurd playoff......
