Why Falling Onto Subway Tracks Can Sometimes Be A Good Thing

In 2007, Paul Torres had a seizure on the downtown 2 train platform at Penn Station and fell onto the subway tracks just as a train was barreling into the station. It saved his life. "The next thing I knew I was in a hospital room," Torres tells the Daily News. "My mother was there, and the doctors came in and said they had found a tumor in my brain." Should you have the misfortune of running into this guy while underground, please do take a better photo of his face before deboarding. more ›

Man Sorry For Spilling Woman's Coffee On 2 Train

Posted on craigslist's missed connections: "As I brought my hand down from the rail on the 2 train today at around 10:10 AM, I smashed it into your morning java, sending it spilling all over the floor. I shouted sorry and tried to find you on the platform, but I was tired, confused, and the platform was a bit crazy, so I proceeded on to work with a great lump of guilt in my heart. What a bad way to start the week for you! I am truly sorry. If you can find me and give a basic description of me, I owe you a Starbucks gift card (or equivalent)." more ›

According to one account, Boyd fired back with the riposte, "I'm doing my business, you do yours!" Lazy kids. How would they like it if Boyd showed up at whatever fast food chain they work at and barked orders at them? The situation escalated when the pair exited the train at the Flatbush Avenue station, and Boyd allegedly threatened the teen with a pocketknife.
