After seven years of torture, CTU moles and cougar attacks, the new season of terrorist crime thriller 24 is finally taking place in the Big Apple this year. The premiere for "Day 8" starts this Sunday and Monday on Fox. Although some scenes were shot in the city, including ones at the United Nations, the bulk of the show was shot in Canada, and then green-screened to fit in NYC backgrounds, according to the Post. Actor Kiefer Sutherland and Jack McCollough, the fashion designer Sutherland allegedly headbutted after the Costume Institute gala, issued a joint statement to the AP. Described as an MBA type with a razor sharp intellect, Hastings will be joined by two new twentysomething agents (one male, one female), as well as Mary Lynn Rajskub's returning Chloe." Will the Counter Terrorist Unit clash with the NYPD, just like in real life? Will Bauer spend half the episode waiting for the friggin' F train? Or maybe save New Yorkers from evildoing photographers? Janeane Garofalo was one of the definitive comedians of the '90s.
