Bill Clinton says he's fine if his wife, the Secretary of State, decides to run for president against Chris Christie in 2016. "I believe that she's being absolutely honest with you when she says she doesn't think she'll go back into politics," Clinton said. "But if she comes home, and we do this foundation stuff for the rest of our lives, I'll be happy; if she changes her mind and decides to run, I'll be happy." Presumably Clinton is referring to an obscure law that "lets husbands of presidents who themselves are former presidents be president again if the president feels sick or just wants a day or two off."
Bill Clinton Would Be "Happy" If Hillary Runs In 2016
Biden Says He'll Make Up Mind On 2016 Run, Nation Already Has
Vice President Joe Biden took time out of his busy Trans-Am polishing, endangered tortoise-hating schedule to give an interview with CNN and tease us all with the prospect of his unadulterated leadership. Replying to a query about whether or not the 69-year-old Gaffe-O-Tron 4000 will run in 2016, Biden said he'd "make up my mind on that later. We'll find out." Shouldn't Obama say the same thing when asked, "Is Biden still on the 2012 ticket?"
Gay Marriage Hero Cuomo Not Thinking About 2016, But Sorta Is
After managing to shepherd the marriage equality bill through the Legislature and getting it passed, Governor Andrew Cuomo was victorious after his political maneuvering paid off. Which means a new kind of maneuvering must begin: What to do for Act II. And, of course, talk has turned to running for president in 2016.
Bloomberg's "Bromance" With Jeb Bush
According to the Post, "insiders" are wondering why Mayor Bloomberg and former Florida governor Jeb Bush are so buddy-buddy. A "City Hall veteran" says, "There's something going on there. This is a lot more than, they're on the same side when it comes to education." Bush is one of dozens of names being mentioned as a 2012 or 2016 contender, prompting even more speculation (one Republican consultant: "I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it would be a hell of a ticket").

In a decision that insiders say could prove once and for all that Rudy Giuliani isn't seriously considering another run for office, the former Mayor has accepted a long-term job as a security consultant for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Is The New Yorker Sabotaging Brazil's Olympic Bid?
The gloves are off! Brazilian paper O Globo is angry that the New Yorker of published an article about crime and drugs in Rio just days before the International Olympic Committee decides the location of the 2016 summer games. This comes the day after former New Yorker coverboy President Obama flew to Copenhagen on behalf of the Chicago 2016 bid. However, besides the gang violence, Rio may not have the financial capacity to host the games as it recently had to cancel several international swimming events. Whatever, the New Yorker is probably just bitter that we didn't get the bid for 2012, right?
