  There's a lot to be thankful for, whether here in Los Angeles or not. Here a just a few... of course, themed to Los Angeles. First of all, I'm ever so grateful for the LAist staff. The dirty little secret that's really not a secret is that, save for Co-Editor Lindsay William-Ross (who deserves a big thanks herself!) and myself, everyone volunteers at LAist. They write and share with all of you because they have a passion for it. They love exploring and getting to know this city and coming back and sharing it with you. LAist is what it is because of them--they are the heart and soul.
• Posted Brush Fire Breaks Out in the Anaheim Hills [Updated] to LAist
  Scores of people left Disneyland disappointed tonight because the fireworks show was canceled. There was good reason for that--a brushfire has broken out in the Anaheim Hills. The wind-driven 5-acre blaze has shut down the 241 Tollroad between the 91 Freeway and Santiago Canyon Road. The fire, which is currently located on the east side of the 241, may have started on the center median. No evacuations have been ordered. A red flag warning...

  Yeah, I agree with Caroline: wait until they get their act together. My main problem with the veggie burger is that they took the burger our the burger--that is, it's more of a dainty sandwich than what a burger should...

Quarrygirl has been keeping an updated list full of salivating ideas. Also, there are plenty of Thanksgiving-themed vegetarian events around the city this week including the annual potluck at Rancho Park and events at Mary's Secret Garden and Follow Your Heart....
