MOVIE: Tonight Anthology Film Archives screens The Wild Angels, the 1966 film starring Peter Fonda, Nancy Sinatra, Bruce Dern, and Diane Ladd. "Made three years before Easy Rider, this classic biker flick is a tough and nasty portrait of the Hell's Angels, one of Corman's many films exploring a counter-cultural milieu. The then-unknown Fonda got the role in part because he was actually comfortable on a motorcycle, and Corman filled many of the supporting roles with actual Hell's Angels, giving the film an authenticity and edge missing from most of the numerous biker films that came in its wake." 7 p.m. (Also screenings on the 5th and 8th) // Anthology Film Archive [32 2nd Ave] // $9 DINNER: Eat well and do good tonight, at Eating for Eggheads. "Dig into the local comfort food at Williamsburg's Egg restaurant at this special dinner to raise funds for a local high school's organic-garden program. All of the proceeds from the dinner ($50, plus alcoholic beverages and gratuity) will go toward farm supplies and equipment for the Automotive High School's gardening course, and the dinner will utilize some of the students' produce." 7 p.m. // Egg [135 N 5th St, Williamsburg] // $50; RSVP at mail (at) pigandegg (dot) com GAMING: It's another night of G-rated fun at Union Hall with Board Game Olympics!
