We haven't checked in on Gossip Girl since the show was filming around town and the producer touted New York as a main character in each episode. To summarize: the show is like a New York-based version of The OC (in fact it's another Josh Schwartz creation), except the rich kids don't act like kids, they act like their parents. Fancy yourself a Seinfeld expert? TBS has a montage up which will test your knowledge of the show and little references from episodes. If after nearly ten years you can get more than half of these then we suspect the network has been doing their job in showing the show ad nauseam in syndication. What is the lawsuit about, Kenneth? Last night the 59th Annual Emmy Awards took place on the left coast, but New Yorkers made out very well. Last night Top Chef began with a Quickfire Challenge consisting of everyone cooking Padma breakfast...we swear she thinks of the challenges when she's stoned (see: the onion cutting relay. C'mon!). OMG OPRAH! After weeks of anticipation - and insane craigslist listings - a few thousand lucky fans got to watch the season premiere of Oprah from the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
