Oh, so this is why young, creative New Yorkers are moving to L.A.: At 8:51 a.m., the MTA alerted subway riders, "Due to a train with mechanical problems at Bedford Av, L trains are running with delays in both directions. Allow additional travel time."
From the commutertariat, who are especially angry, having spent the weekend without L train service:
l train broke down.
thanks @MTA
happy monday.

If computers can find the Higgs-Boson and water on Mars, why can't they run the #LTrain properly?

MTA, you had all weekend to fix the L train. How does it go down only a few hours into Monday service? #shouldhavebikedtowork

you have not seen rage until you've seen G-trainers get told to get back on the G-train because the L train is not working

If you found this commute frustrating, tell your state representatives and Governor Cuomo to stop robbing the MTA of badly needed funding and figure out a way to come up with more cash for a 21st Century subway system.
