Last month Christie promised a New Jersey boy named Adam Bernstein he'd throw a celebration when the team (which, he reminds everyone, actually plays in New Jersey) won, so that's what the roly-poly governor is doing.
So, how's this going to work? After the parade in Manhattan the Giants are going to hop on a bus and head out to the MetLife Stadium. At 2:15 p.m. the field will open to the public (concession stands will be open, cameras will be allowed and tailgating is permitted). The actual celebration will begin at 3 p.m. and run until about 3:30 p.m. before the whole thing is wrapped up.
Planning on going? All cars are asked to park in lots F and G, buses from the Port Authority will be running directly to the Stadium starting at 1 p.m. But be warned, there will be no trains/buses from Secaucus for this one (though there will be "an increased number of taxis available"). Meh, the ticker tape parade sounds better to us.

Lets not forget the Giants played at Yankee stadium up till the 70's http://www.stadiumsofprofootba... They're not NY for no reason, there is history

"so that's what the roly-poly governor"
Remind us again who are the bullying versus the anti-bullying party? Imagine the shoe on the other foot and a Republican made a comment about gays, lesbians etc. Ya'll would have your panties in a twist demanding someone be fired.
Mr Mel
As I have mentioned before, Dick Schaap called them the "Route 3 Giants".

"...the roly-poly governor..."
Really? I am no fan of Chris Christie, but I have to wonder why this derogatory detail regarding his appearance merits mention here. I didn't notice any rude comments regarding the physical features of other mayors, event organizers, or football players and fans here.
To be fair, it is pretty stupid that New Jersey is not called New York Annex

anyone who makes fun of NJ this much is prob from idaho themselves and lives in Brooklyn and now thinks they are cool. People from NJ laugh at all of you. We pay half for everything, get to use the city forever, and get to go home to our big places for half the price. I can get into NYC in less time than a person from Brooklyn. Get a life and stop being a sold-ass follower you loser.
Actually I spent many years of my childhood in Rockland County just over the border from New Jersey, went to college in New Jersey and lived in various places in North Jersey before settling in Brooklyn. I have many friends in New Jersey and like many parts of it. I just enjoy making fun of New Jersey because I can and I find many people from New Jersey have an inferirority complex about it. If I had spent any time in Idaho I would probably make fun of it too. Chill out.

Yawn. Maryland Redskins, Arlington Cowboys, Orchard Park Bills, New Jersey Giants. They all don't have the same ring.
marekgerbe
Arlington and Dallas are in Texas. Orchard Park and Buffalo are in New York state. As for Washington, it's a city within a tiny district, not a state. So the Giants are really the only NFL/NHL/NBA sports team whose name is not indicative of the state that they are located in.
I don't see how New Jersey Giants don't have the same ring. It's not like they call the Devils the New York Devils.

What does Utah have to do with Jazz? Or LA with Lakes. Get over it. It's the NY Giants and this will never change.

Wheee! 30 minutes of celebrating and the whole time just about everyone on the team is looking at their watches because they want to get the fuck out of the parking lot and have a good time.
