Louise Neathway/Meanwell (via Deadspin) The bizarre case of the woman accused of stalking Yankees GM Brian Cashman exploded into the tabloids last week and yesterday, the Daily News revealed that Louise Neathway (sometimes referred to as Louise Meanwell) claimed she was pregnant with the married Cashman's baby and had an abortion. Now the News' rival gets word from Neathway's mom about her apparent bluff.
The Post, which shares the same publicist as the Yankees, reports that Neathway's mother said her daughter is a liar: "Only a week after Brian Cashman gave his alleged stalker $6,000 for an abortion, her mom revealed that the unstable woman was never pregnant, The Post has learned. Caroline Meanwell made the disclosure about her daughter, Louise, during a meeting with the Yankee general manager and his advisers on Jan. 27. '[Caroline] apologized to [Cashman] for all the trouble and was very emotional,' a source close to the probe said. 'She said [Meanwell] was never pregnant, and had lied about it in the past as well,' the source said. 'She said she had made claims [before] of fake pregnancies and fake abortions.'" The Post also comments on the ultrasound picture that Meanwell had sent to Cashman, "The sonogram had no name on it and is identical to generic sonogram images posted on the Internet."
The News has the texts that Cashman sent to Neathway in recent weeks as part of a trap for the cops to arrest her:
A source said Cashman, who denies having a sexual relationship with Neathway, started cooperating with cops about a week ago in an effort to ensnare his alleged tormenter.
Neathway opened her final text message exchange by calling Cashman a “compulsive perpetual BULLS------.”
“Brian you did this no one else,” Neathway wrote in a barely punctuated text sent at 3:02 p.m. on Feb. 1.
“I NEVER want to see you or hear your name again, you make me feel ill. The pain you have caused to multiple people is unforgivable and disgusting. thats it no more from me. Contact me Lawyer. I will not be contacting you in any form.”
Cashman replied an hour later.
“Why are you doing this to me, this s--- has to stop,” the text read.
Neathway then dropped the name of a reporter at the sports gossip website Deadspin.com and went on to ask Cashman to pick her up.
“How can I trust you when you continue to threaten me with the press?” Cashman wrote. “I am so afraid, I don’t know what I should do.”

take on Neathway.
