the third time in a week, an NYPD officer has shot and killed a a
black citizen. An unidentified officer killed 18-year-old Ramarley
Graham with a
single bullet to the chest.
The officer, a member of the narcotics unit, had chased Graham into
his home, claim to have seen him flush something down a toilet and
reportedly saw him make "furtive" movements, apparently
prompting the cop to fire. Graham—who lived with his mother,
grandmother and 6-year-old brother—was immediately mourned
by family and neighbors. "Nobody
deserves to get shot like that, in your own house,"
his bereaved mother, Constance Malcolm, cried to reporters.

Constance
Malcolm will join the club of black parent that will have no justice
and no peace. She will make her call to Rev. Al Sharpton and maybe a
block leader. Then there will be a news conference and the family
will cried out for justice! Then the marching then the chanting"no
justice no peace"! Then the police commissioner will report that
the shooting was justify and the Mayor will state that he is behind

What
to me is so disgusting is the fact that even in your home you are not
protected. As a parent you can do nothing to protect your children
from a cop that has a gun and aiming it at your child! You can't
shoot the cop because you and your child will both be murdered by
cops! While blacks are fighting and dying in other country for their
country. In America cops are shooting unarmed blacks in record
numbers. All cops have to say to justify murdering a black person is

being shot, Graham was rushed to Montefiore Hospital and pronounced
dead. According to police spokesman Paul Browne, the 30-year-old
officer who shot the young man joined the force in July 2008 and has
not been involved in any prior shootings. Browne said investigators
were interviewing potential witnesses and the shooting remained under
investigation. Not that that will bring Constance Malcolm's son back.
"In the bathroom they shot him. My 6-year-old son was there and
saw everything," Malcolm told reporters. "I’m
going to get justice."

I'm

Don't forget the NYPD's revelations that Ray Kelly was in a hate speech video, his deputy Browne lied about it, and now the department is spying on innocent Shiites in NY and beyond. It's been a rough week even without the killings.

While looking at this site, and others that deal with this and similar incidents,( granted this does occur often, all you have to do is read the papers everyday to satisfy your self on that point ) It came to me like a bolt from the blue, ALL of you who are critical of the NYPD, who are disatisfied, who always criticize, especialy those who always love to call cops scared white boys, go and take the test, study, get a passing score and become a New York police officer, after all you will be more able to do the job better and more professional, right, RIGHT.

Um, lots of us have graduate degrees.  I'm pretty sure we can pass a test that's been completed by thousands of people who can't properly string words together to form a comprehensible sentence.

It takes much more than a gradute degree and passing the written exam. Candidates must then pass a medical exam, written phychological exam, oral phychological exam, physical exam, drug exam, and a background investigation to be appointed into the academy. Then six month's of training to be sworn in as a police officer. I'll bet you will failed miserably in more than one of these phases.

Sure there are bad people in my profession (though few are stupid).  Plagiarism is the big one to avoid in my line of work.  Want to know the difference between people in my profession and the cops?  When someone is found guilty of plagiarism in my profession, the rest of us express our disgust with their behavior and demand they be stripped of their credentials.  Unlike the pigs, we don't blindly defend reprehensible behavior.

I know not all cops are bad people as individuals, but the outright willingness to support the despicable ones makes me (and pretty much everyone I know) distrust them all.
