Last Night's Action: Streaks End

2008_12_islanderslogo.jpg John Tavares entered Monday with a 12-game points streak, but the Islanders didn't score a goal in a 3-0 loss to Toronto. So ends the longest such streak in the NHL this season. The Islanders also saw their run of three straight wins snapped. Toronto scored first 1:37 into the game and never looked back.

The Bulls, banged up though they are, had no problem with the Nets in a 110-95 win in the Second City on Monday. Jordan Farmar had 22 points and Deron Williams had 16 points and 10 assists. MarShon Brooks did not play thanks to Achilles' tendinitis.
