Taco Finder Will Tell You Where The Tacos At

12212taco.jpg Finally, we can stop approaching strangers in the dead of night with bloodcurdling screams of "LENGUA!" Brooklyn's own technology firm Big Spaceship has developed Taco Finder, which does exactly what it sounds like. "We wanted to make going out for tacos into an adventure," senior designer Valerie Gnaedig tells the Brooklyn Paper. No word on whether the company is developing "Laundromat Finder" to make that task slightly more charming.

The app is free, and produces a list of taco joints nearby. Once a destination is selected, an arrow points you in the right direction and gives you the distance in feet towards bliss. Big Spaceship admits that it's more of a "divining rod," as there is no map, no Yelp reviews, no frills. "This is for the adventurous eater," the company's technology director, Jamie Kosoy says. "Mostly I just open it up and wander off." Look for Taco Finder-related missing persons fliers to crop up around Papacitos.

isn't this what tacobell.com is for?

Papacito's needs this app because what they serve are certainly not tacos.

  • I need a burrito finder, not a taco finder. Tacos are easy to find here relative to a decent burrito.

Buddy's Burritos, Court St Brooklyn. YUM.

Yeah, not walking 6 miles for a burrito.  There's got to be something closer.
