Amanda Cummings' Grieving Mother To Bullies, "I Hope You Die And I Hope You Suffer"

The family of the Staten Island teen who died after being hit by a bus continues to rail against the girl's bullies online and in the press. “This is to all you evil son of a bitches that picked on, talked about and threatened my baby,” heartbroken mother Cece Weber wrote on her daughter’s Facebook page. Amanda Cummings' uncle demanded that online bullies show themselves while her mother said on her daughter's Facebook page, "This is to all you evil son of a bitches that picked on, talked about and threatened my baby. I HOPE YOU DIE and I HOPE YOU SUFFER."

Amanda, a 15-year-old who attended New Dorp High School, apparently threw herself in front of a bus on December 27 and died from her injuries this past Monday. Her family contends she was tormented by people—apparently Cummings was dating a 19-year-old and another girl who liked him allegedly bullied her—and her Facebook statuses in the weeks before her death seemed desperate and sad, "ill just go f**k myself, just like u said baby, then ill go kill myself, with these pills, this knife, this life has already done half the job."

Her family thinks Amanda just meant to get a few broken bones and not kill her self (the police have said she was carrying a note); instead, they have accused her bullies of killing her. A forum on 4chan posted, "I please ask that you respect her memory, and write a thoughtful paragraph or too so that all of the teenage candy-asses can feel like heroes by writing how sad they are that the girl is bullied is dead," leading to an onslaught of offensive comments on a Facebook tribute page for Amanda.

No charges are expected in the suicide, Her sister wrote on Facebook yesterday, "AS A SISTER, A MOTHER, AND A HUMAN BEING WITH A BEATING HEART THAT IS BROKEN, I AM BEGGING YOU KIDS, ANYONE WITH ANY CONCRETE PROOF OF BULLYING TOWARD MY SISTER, PLEASE LET ME KNOW... PLEASE. I NEED WITNESSES WILLING TO STEP FORWARD TO MAKE LEGAL STATEMENTS. NOT JUST KIDS COMING OUT OF THE WOODWORK THAT WANT TO GOSSIP. THANK YOU."

Uncle Keith Cummings told WPIX, "My niece committed suicide, but there are those responsible. We want justice. I want my niece to rest in peace."

I fail to see how it is possible to bully a dead person. Has anyone considered that maybe this girl's parents may be partly to blame? I have 4 kids myself. They all grew up fine. They understood that bullying and being bullied is a part of being a kid. Some kids will do it and you deal with it and drive on. I cannot feel sorry for someone who didn't have what it takes to hack it in real life.

So the girl was writing on her facebook that she was suicidal and throwing out all these cries for help, and no the mom is writing on her facebook.... where the fuck was the mom before to see all these cries for help? Where was the fucking sister? I understand the girl was bullied but the family obviously did nothing to help her in her time of need

This really deserves a national discussion---the issue of bullying. When it results in suicides, that indicates a societal failure and a complete breakdown in discipline.

I honestly do not know how to report or bring attention to it in order to stop it...
