Pro Tip: Don't Bring A Loaded Machine Gun On The Subway

The machine gun allegedly found on Reggie Allen (NYPD).
Leave the machine gun at home! Along with the 9/11 Memorial you know another great place to not bring your loaded weapon? The subway. Especially if your weapon is a loaded Intratec Luger Tec-9 machine gun with extra ammunition—unless, it seems you've decided to try and skip the fare at Times Square. In that case just do make sure you get caught, okay?

According to the police it wasn't even the machine gun that even got their attention at first. Around 5:30 p.m. yesterday police noticed Reggie Allen, 33, enter the Times Square A, C, E station without paying his fare. When they approached the South Carolina man they noticed that he had a loaded .45 caliber Smith and Wesson in the waistband of his pants. And it got better. When they looked in his bag they say they found that machine gun, along with 34 bullets.

Allen, who reportedly has a "Me Against the World" tattoo on the back of his neck, has been charged him with criminal possession of a machine gun, criminal possession of a weapon loaded firearms and other charges. It is currently unclear why he had brought so much firepower to Times Square.

You guys are idiots.  It is not a machine gun.

  • cetriche

Damn NYC and it's tyrannical "you can't kill people here" laws...

  • So, when is Sheldon Silver going to have a press conference demanding this guy get freed?

Oh, I forgot, he only does that for WHITE people with illegal out of state firearms!

  • ...Or, you know, people who aren't wanted on cocaine possession charges already, didn't try to jump a turnstile, voluntarily disclosed their firearm possession and who didn't buy their weapons (illegally) in Washington DC.  Other than that, the two cases are totally the same

    You're right.  It's absolutely a race thing.

  • eastbloc

    Ah, race-baiting.

It says in the source article that he was charged with possession of a defaced firearm -- that means it wasn't legal for him to possess in any state.

  • jisnotused

    cool lookin gun

  • He could have avoided all this if he just tried to check it in with the police.I bet you it's legally registered in his home state, and thus deserves amnesty.
And he's not the type that NYC's gun laws are aimed at.

    Paging Councilman Vallone...

  • Emmily_Litella

not the type the laws are aimed at?  He’s a mental defective that didnt even have the smarts to pay his fare.  Lets hope the system works on this doof.

  • Ole Semko

Tec-9, POS semi-auto. Probably would have jammed anyway

  • Ragingsemi

What an IDIOT, if you know you have that shit on you why not just break down and pay the $2.25?

  • ronshapley

The gomer is from South Carolina....  nuff said !!!

  • Guest

Although I don't condone hate against the South, you sir, are correct!

  • The popularity of the Tec-9 baffles me.

  • Newhce

Yeah, only idiot thugs would by that crap thinking it makes them look badass.

  • Cheers! Been saying that for years... I think the name just sounds cool. Plus one could shorten it to "Tek." Which sounds cooler.

  • But if neat nicknames are your only criteria, go with a "Mac-10," right?

  • Guest

Mac-10 is a better rapper than Tek-9 too.

  • eastbloc

It's among the smaller semi-autos for which large extended magazines are readily available.  If you're the sort who holds your gun sideways, every extra round counts.

  • AScoutingLife

Yes, but the most likely outcome when firing a Tec 9 is a jammed gun.  They are incredibly poorly made.

  • eastbloc

That's not a machine gun, you idiots.
