Jake Gyllenhaal Caught Putting People To Sleep On Subway, Again

According to photographic evidence, Jake Gyllenhaal rides the subway at least twice a year, and every time, he has a very calming effect on fellow straphangers (unlike his sister). Earlier this year the actor was spotted on the Q train with a man sleeping next to him, and just this month another snoozefest was caught on camera—the latest guy even got arm on leg contact. Adorable! How many more times does this have to happen before Buzzfeed's "People Sleeping On The Subway Next To Jake Gyllenhaal" thing becomes a meme?

You misunderstand... that corner spot acts like a centrefuge. It rocks you to sleep and cradles your head at the same time. I'll bet Jake stands at that spot because it lines up with the right exit for his regular stop. His sis does live in Brooklyn after all. Most Brooklyn stops have just one exit, and a bottleneck occurs after everyone gets off the train. He seems to have a routine near a sleep-inducing spot, is all.

I took the 1 train with Jake in October. He was wearing the same jacket as the picture above, but had his hood up. It was 1 AM but he still seemed nervous about people recognizing him. He took the train from 18th street to Christopher. After he left, the only other passenger on the car, turned to me and said "That was so weird. It was so obviously Jake, but who takes the train from 18th to Christopher?"

I've never had the opportunity to sleep next to Jake, but if it ever presented itself to me, I'd hope to shit that it wasn't on the Q train...
