Will Ewan McGregor Get Naked In HBO's The Corrections?

nov22ewan2.jpg Casting for HBO's upcoming TV adaptation of Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections is well underway: Dianne Weist and Chris Cooper are on board to play the central Lambert parents, and now, Deadline is reporting that Ewan McGregor has signed on for his first regular TV gig to play middle child Chip. We no longer care who gets cast as the other two Lambert children—the only question now is, will we get to see McGregor's junk?

It certainly wouldn't be the first time—McGregor has a long history of taking it all off on camera (see: Trainspotting, The Pillow Book, Velvet Goldmine, Young Adam), and, despite his insistance that it won't happen again, the role of Chip seems prime for showing a little skin. Case in point: early on in the book, we learn that Chip has been fired from his cushy academic position at an elite college for sleeping with a student—sexy! Here's hoping that director Noah Baumbach can coax one last nude scene out of the old pro.

Getting naked is becoming old hat. Even in china it's catching on...
Chinese Stage Mass Nudity Protest in Support of Artist

show full description More than 80
supporters of Chinese artist Ai Weiwei have posted nude photographs of
themselves online in a rare form of protest for a country that considers public
    nudity taboo. http://www.newslook.com/videos...

  • I approve of all nudity by Ewan McGregor. I must have watched Trainspotting fifty times when I was 13.  He's had really awful taste in roles of late, though. Hasn't made anything good in years.

I thought Big Fish was pretty decent.

  • It was okay, but that was 8 years ago!

True.  I don't think I've seen him in anything more recent except the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and we all know how those turned out.

I was sure this would've been authored by Christopher Robbins.
