Video: NYPD Officers Lock Themselves Out Of Squad Car
The city's on a tight budget right now, and a locksmith would eat into the money that's meant for the NYPD's overtime. So to get out of the familiar jam of helplessly looking at your keys in the drivers seat, these officers turn a bent metal rod into a slim jim. Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect, Ingenuity?
According to MyBlockNYC, the cops were locked out on 86th Street between Second and First Avenues, and appear to resist the temptation to seek assistance from the seven locksmiths in the area. Maybe they should have just asked if there was a carjacker in central booking?
