Cops Allegedly Catch Mom About To Shoot Heroin With Baby In Car

Parenting 101: When caring for your infant child, there's no more convenient place to shoot smack than in the parking lot of a Toys 'R' Us. Today's depressing police blotter item comes from a Toys 'R' Us in Holbrook, Long Island, where the mother of a newborn baby was allegedly caught by cops as she was about to shoot up in her Hyundai Thursday afternoon. Just a little horse for Mommy, then we'll go say hi to that stupid camel—will that finally make you STOP CRYING?!

Three Suffolk Gang Unit officers were in the parking lot around 1:20 p.m. when they say they noticed 29-year-old mom Crystal Webberly in her car with a strap around her arm, about to inject herself with a needle. Officers stopped her, and then noticed her two-month-old son in the backseat. Webberly was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, and endangering the welfare of a child, Newsday (paywall) reports.

Riding shotgun was 26-year-old Jacqueline Datillo, who was also charged with first-degree loitering, endangering the welfare of a child, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. It's unclear how police first spotted the two shining role models, but this is obviously a cautionary tale for druggie moms everywhere: Take down that "Junkie on Board" caution sign before indulging.

i am more scared that you are going to contuine doing this with the kid if you did once and got cought you might not care and do it again like they say onces you do it once you going do it twice and crystal as a friend you should give the baby away to someone that really that is going to take care of it i know u always call me crying and i am scared for that baby need love and attention not puttiing the baby life in danger

it ashame how i know this girl and the fact she left her 2 month old baby as a friend they should take her baby away from her cause i know how she is i have know her a one year in half crystal if you love your baby you would never done what you did even through your pregrancy you was still doing it this baby should not be with all

Heroin is less addictive and less toxic than tobacco. It's about even with alcohol.

In spite of the headline, I don't think the baby was shooting up. At two months old, I doubt if it was acutely aware of the proceedings.

Well that really sucks for her is they caught her right BEFORE she was about to shoot up. And damn, without makeup (compare to facebook page), this girl is uggggglllyyyy. For her and her kid's sake, I hope she can get her shit together, cause Heroin is bad news
