Law & Order: SVU hasn't really been the same Christopher Meloni peaced out and Mariska Hargitay cut back her hours, but we can't begrudge Hargitay too much: the actress just announced that she's a new mom (again!).

Hargitay and her husband Peter Hermann are the proud new adoptive parents of Andrew Nicolas Hargitay Hermann, who was born over the summer. Apparently, Hargitay and Hermann started the adoption process expecting it take a while, but a week later were told Andrew was on his way.

“We never in a million years thought it would happen this quickly, but something inside of us knew that this was right, and we said, ‘Yes, yes, yes!’” Hargitay told People. “We knew this was our guy. Everything about it felt right. It felt divinely right.” Harigtay and Hermann adopted a daughter, Amaya Josephine, six months ago, and they also have a five-year-old son named August. Hargitay will continue to work on the set of SVU four days a week, kicking butt and taking names.
