From WABC 7
A 30-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son were killed in a horrific car crash yesterday in Manorville. Keri Trinca was driving "on Oceanview Boulevard and as she entered the intersection, she was t-boned by a vehicle heading south on County Road 111," according to WABC 7. A nurse who happened to be driving by the scene told Newsday it was "the most horrible accident I have seen in my life."

Trinca was killed at the scene, while son Jason was pronounced dead at a hospital; Trica's 2-year-old and 4-year-old children who were also in the care are also in critical condition. Nurse Taylor Adamo, who was driving home to Riverhead after her shift, told Newsday, "There were no doors. They were busted open, so you could see in." She saw Trinca's dead body and the children were "very critical." As she helped, a man ran to the wreckage, "He was screaming, 'Someone take me to my children!'" It turned out that was Trinca's husband. Friends and neighbors of the Trincas are devastated; one said, "Keri was a very loving mother. She was always there for her family."

Charges have not be filed, but the investigation is continuing. The van's driver and passenger were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

my condolences but the government has to do something  with the people drive like crazy

  • I've identified the intersection. here is the VAN view of the intersection of east bound lane of county rd 111 and montauk ave.

here is what the HONDA ACCORD saw approaching the intersection. apparently the family car was on this road trying to get on the north, or west bound lane of county 111.

the abc news video didn't show you that this intersection had traffic signals which complicates the investigation, also the intersection is heavily wooded impairing visibility. The accident happened on montauk ave, not oceanview blvd (family lived on oceanview)

  • This really say regardless of whose fault it is.  Hope the two kids make it through.  And if they do, they have to live with the fact that they lost their mother. Sad shit all around.

  • Fronko

"Charges have not been filed." How sadly typical.

  • You seem to suggest that every time someone gets hurt or dies, charges should be filed.  There is a such thing called accidents.

  • It's called completing an accident investigation.  For all you, I, or we know, it's possible the van driver was not at fault.

I'm not saying that's what happened, but the cops have to make a due diligence before they file charges.
