Twitter: Who Needs Wall Street? Occupy Sesame Street!

Occupy Wall Street is well into its third week now, and the protesters finally have a meme worthy of their cause: Occupy Sesame Street. The hashtag was first started on Twitter last week during the whole Radiohead hoax saga, but has really taken off this week with everyone from comedian Patton Oswalt to the Daily Caller's CJ Ciaramella getting in on tweet action. Mother Jones has a breakdown of how the meme spread; below, you can check out some of our favorite tweets about counting vampires, Cookie distribution inequality, and wages at Mr. Hooper's store.

    OCCUPY SOUTHPARK:

"Stan: Uh, excuse me. Excuse me, can I have your
attention please? What are we doing? [the crowd quiets down] It's been
nine days! Doesn't it seem like we should accomplish something?

A hippie: We're using the power of rock and roll to change the world! Woo! [the crowd cheers]

Stan: Maybe instead of complaining about corporations being
selfish, we should look at ourselves. I mean, is there anything more
selfish than doing nothing but getting high and listening to music all
    day long?

Singer: He's right. It's time for all of us to focus
our energy and get this hippie jam into full swing. [the band starts up
again. They missed his point entirely. Stan just turns right and walks
away]." -- South Park, "Die Hippie, Die"From Huffington Post:
