Nicki Minaj Hits The Red Carpet With Chicken Wing Necklace

minajwing092611.jpg

First there was Lady Gaga's meat dress, and now Nicki Minaj has donned a fried chicken necklace at the IHeartRadio Festival over the weekend. The hot pink piece is probably not real? But it has people worked up, including one writer who says, "As an African American woman I am aware of certain black stereotypes such as 'black people love chicken'... While I’m positive eating the certain poultry couldn’t be that evil, is wearing a piece of chicken around your neck satire or ignorance?"

Maybe Minaj just really likes chicken? This isn't the first time she's used it as an accessory. And the thing held up pretty well on stage:

Now what restaurant will be the first to honor NYC-based Minaj with her own hot pink chicken wing dish?

  • You have a great
    website here, thanks for sharing.

  • Lady Gaga & Nicki Minaj would make a very unique song if they collaborated. I support Nicki's Chicken Wing Necklace & Gaga's Meat Dress. I love Nicki's lyrical ability/Rapping and fashion sense. And Gaga's singing ability as well.

For those who says that she is copying Gaga.. Or Gaga is copying Madonna.
Their is a Quote from Nicki Minaj's Album that should shut you ALL up.

You're looking too much into it. She likes chicken. Meat pieces are sexy now. Apparently just like chocolate covered bacon is sexy now too.

  • Bitch be trippin.

  • gothamer

um the chicken kind of looks like a fetus in the first photo....awkard....

Nothing Lady Gaga has done that Madonna, Elton, Bette, Liberace.... haven't done also

  • tom9d

There is nothing Nicki Minaj wouldn't do...that Lady Gaga hasn't already done.

  • While I’m positive eating the certain poultry couldn’t be that evil, is wearing a piece of chicken around your neck satire or ignorance?

    Satire.

You give her way too much credit to know the difference.

  • QUEENS native by way of Trinidad and Tobago. Dear god, not everything is centered around Brooklyn.

...yes, I may be one of those people who hope it's more like minute 12.

  • TheRealCannibal

they should have kept going and just dumped her off the edge of the stage into a pit of lava and spitting cobras

  • At least somebody is picking up the slack Gaga is leaving.  Fashion that gets people talking?  Success.

  • theevilerone

Gaga brings the fashion. Minaj looks like a toddler allowed to dress herself without supervision.

  • I don't think I agree with your entirely about Minaj-- you want to go all kind of FRUiTs, that is fine with me-- but I will agree that Gaga used to be way better.  I guess I'm just despairing because the current phase of Gaga is all stunts & theater, & I prefer pop music & fashion.

  • theevilerone

    She's on minute 14, right?

  • PicoPhreako69

    We can only HOPE.....

And yet Buckethead walks around with impunity. Double standards people, double standards.

Buckethead has great talent, any knowledgeable Hip-Hop fan would tell you Minaj sucks.

Buckethead doesn't use his costume as a gimmick as much as Nicki does, she bases her whole act on being a Barbie doll. He's creative, this is just random, like stapling a backpack on your forehead or something

  • FU Boy

Buckethead... nope ... I knew a Socketneck out of Muncie - any relation?

  • LtWorf

Yeah... that may be a bit much.

But who doesn't like fried chicken and watermelon?
