Cops Offer New Video Of Park Slope Rapist

2011_09_psloperapist.jpg Last night, police officers met with Brooklyn residents at a local community safety meeting to update them about series of sexual assaults, including one rape, that have occurred in Park Slope, Sunset Park, and Bay Ridge. The fears have prompted a rally, a volunteer effort to escort women to their homes (cyclists have also offered to escort women) and concerns that the police ignored a 911 call about the rapist. The NYPD, which believes there are at least two suspects, released a new surveillance video and also refuted claims they aren't being responsive.

According to WCBS 2, "Police said they have upped the numbers of uniformed and plain-clothed officers on patrol, continue to hand out flyers and sketches and follow up on the many leads they’ve received."

This suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, around 28 years old. Contact NYPD Crimestoppers with information.

What are the specifics of this video? Where was this shot? When? Why is this considered a suspect? It looks like most of the guys walking around the neighborhood.

God damn it.  We're in 2011.  Where's our zoom in and enhance?

I was just thinking that.  What's the point of all these cameras if they're too fuzzy to see anything?

You can get the best camera in the world on there, but if you don't clean the lens you won't see a damn thing.
