Right-Wing Moms Oppose "Vulgar" Schweddy Balls Ice Cream

Vulgar
Dear lord: it's come to this? One Million moms, an offshoot of the batsh*t crazy right wing "Christian morals" advocacy group American Family Association, is boycotting Ben & Jerry's limited-edition Schweddy Balls ice cream.

Sure, the taste left something to be desired, but this? Right Wing Watch has the full missive, but here's the "nut graph":

"Ben & Jerry's announced their newest ice cream flavor which sounds anything but appealing. Schweddy Balls is the best they could come up with. The vulgar new flavor has turned something as innocent as ice cream into something repulsive. Not exactly what you want a child asking for at the supermarket."

The group is calling for all one million of its moms to TAKE ACTION by emailing Ben & Jerry's and demanding that they stop distributing this vulgar dessert immediately. As a brief refresher, these are the same people who previously opposed Spongebob Squarepants, McDonald's, Disney, and...oh, hell, the list goes on and on.

Ex-evangelical blogger Fallen From Grace writes that several readers have asked if One Million Moms is an Onion-style parody, to which he responds: "I wish that was the case but One Million Moms is indeed a real, live group of women who seem to be overtly preoccupied with sex, male genitals, and homosexuality." America! Go out and show your support by graphically licking a bowl of Schweddy Balls today. (And feel free to send us the pictures.) [via Towelroad]

You have to objectively admit that it is disgusting. One more example of just how far this once great nation has fallen.

  • RangerJay

So, are these teabaggers saying they are against "Schweddy Balls?" Really?

  • MNightShannalan

Is the SNL reference lost on everyone? (Does that mean I'm old?)

  • Guest

Yeah, I'm SO sure there are no lefty moms that are pissed about this.

Gothamist: Driving a wedge between Americans for the sake of snarky "journalism".

  • whiteiris

"journalism" is correct. Last I heard Michelle Obama and her lefty ilk, Nanny Bloomberg for ex , had a crusade against McDonalds and the poor Happy Meal. They also attack cereal, soda, trans fat, salt..just about every food/drink item you put in your mouth.  God forbid anyone impinges on liberals and their "morals".

  • Guest

Agreed.  Liberals don't seem to understand that their mothering is just as bad as conservatives' hate of anything outside the ordinary.

It must take a lot of hate to twist "maybe you should eat more vegetables" into a socialist plot.

    Ben & Jerry-
Once again, proving that there is absolutely NO correlation between having money. . .
    and having class!

  • they got a lotta schweddy balls !!

  • Well I wasn't going to buy any, but now I practically have to. Wait! Maybe this is really a pro-Schweddy Balls publicity stunt!

  • SeasTooFarToReach

This certainly reminded me that I have yet to taste some...

  • good, more ice cream for me

  • quietstorms

So the moms don't like the taste of schweddy balls?

  • Moondancer5

If so, then One Million Dads must be very unsatisfied...

We can only hope.  I had a chance to eat there this past Saturday for the first time.  The service and food were both mediocre.  I don't understand its appeal.

  • marco_esquandolas

Can you really boycott something you probably would not have bought in the first place?

And something tells me the One Million Moms roll call may be short by about 999,998 people.

  • eflash

heh, yeah, i reallly doubt they have anywhere near 1 million members. also: i would not have heard about this ice cream if they hadn't boycotted it. well done guys!
