Iranian President Ahmadinejad Is Still A 9/11 Truther

Morally bankrupt Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reiterated his belief that the attacks of September 11, 2001 were part of a vast conspiracy conducted by the US government. "The September 11 [attacks] were actually a planned game to provoke the human community's sentiments and find an excuse for launching attack on Muslim regions and occupying Iraq and Afghanistan," Ahmadinejad said today according to ABC News and the Iranian press.

Previously, the patently delusional Ahmadinejad has asked the UN to perform an independent investigation of the September 11 attacks, which is something that he and the American 9/11 Truthers have in common. NY Rep. Peter King tells ABC News that, "People making these claims are disgraceful, and they should be ashamed of themselves." It would serve Ahmadinejad well if he and his ilk took a look at Slate's excellent analysis of why trutherism is so ridiculous, but then again, you can't believe everything you read on the internet.

When I was a kid I loved the X-Files and was a total conspiracy theorist. Then I grew up and realized the reason why government-related conspiracies can't possibly be true.

The government is way too fuckin' stupid to pull any of this shit off. I mean, really? It's not that I wouldn't put it past the Bush administration. They obviously wanted an excuse to start a war, they were talking about it before he was even elected. But coordinating the attacks, then somehow covering it up? No. Possible. Way.

One needs to be truly ignorant of reality to deny conspiracies exist.

Now the 911 truther movement is poisoned by the absurd notion that explosives were used. Those towers used curtain wall construction, there were no interior supports to blow up, all the support for them was from the outer shell. Can't really hide something like that.

The other logic fail is in asserting that jet fuel cannot melt steel. It doesn't need to melt the steel into a molten liquid, just to the point of the failure of it's tensile strength. Here look at a similar fire caused by a fuel truck explosion that MELTED THE STEEL:
