CNN Salutes Gothamist Commenters

simpsonscomputers0811.jpg Dan Meth spent seven months (on and off) on his montage of the Twin Towers appearing in movies, and courtesy of the internet, upon its release he was met with an instant barrage of criticism for things he missed. CNN tracked down Meth to discuss his efforts (which have also received applause!), and puts a spotlight on our very own Gothamist commenters mid-way through Jeanne Moos's report. Moos says, "film buffs can't resist telling Dan Meth the clips he missed in his montage."

Here's looking at you Todd Holmes, for your Simpsons call-out, and Lawhawk (referred to as "someone" in the report), for noticing the absence of Godspell.

Here are some souvenir screengrabs from the CNN report (which you can watch below).

I really like the tribute video. It's refreshing to see the towers fondly remembered after a decade of being subjected to footage of them burning and collapsing. It makes me feel privileged to have been just old enough to appreciate them while they were still around. I miss them.

The best clip of the Towers wasn't from a movie, it was video of that little, French guy walking a tightrope between them. Breathtaking stuff. I believe there was a documentary on this.
