NJ Lady Who Wanted To Hit 1,000 Pounds Is Going On A Diet

sept1simpson.jpg New Jersey woman Donna Simpson, who dreamed of hitting 1,000 pounds (and came close, too), is going on a diet, she announced this week.

Following a split from her fiancee, who is the father of her two children, Simpson has moved back to her hometown in Ohio and is trying to shape up to take care of her kids. "Now that I have sole responsibility of taking care of my children, I must drastically change my lifestyle. Most people see me as a woman who became famous for wanting to gain weight while the rest of the world was trying to slim down. This was true as I was in a relationship that was based on a fetish that exists only in a fantasy," Simpson wrote in a heartfelt note on her website. She plans to get therapy to help her "come to terms with the abuse I suffered growing up" and will be under the care of a physician while she diets and exercises.

Simpson's website will go from a subscription-only collection of videos and photos of her eating some 15,000 calories a day to a "family-oriented website" that will document her progress. The Daily News reports that Simpson's ideal weight is 370 pounds (science can't argue with that!) and that her new lifestyle goes into effect "immediately."

If you read the article, she says something along the lines of "I'm doing this until I meet someone else who likes me fatter." So no, I'm not supportive, because she's clearly not doing this for herself or for her kids.

And congrats on your weight loss - keep up the great work!
