The Lightsaber Battle is coming back to Manhattan next month. Organizers Lori Kufner and Kevin Bracken, of Newmindspace (you know them from the pillow fights) are inviting one and all to get their Jedi on at "a dark park" downtown, on September 24th. They write:
Last year, hundreds of you lit up a park in a dark corner of Manhattan with our favorite luminous rods. This year, our glowing nighttime skirmish gets ratcheted up to be a bigger and brighter experience! Join us for a massive battle of Jedi vs. Sith in downtown New York City. Pick a side and use that venerable, ancient, glowing tool: the lightsaber, in the ultimate nocturnal showdown. We are seeking LED hula hoopers, glowing costume wearers and other participants for the conclave performances.
