But... history repeats itself! (Photo via @saserella)

[UPDATE BELOW] Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas, Chase, Robin Hood, New York City Parks & Recreation and the Central Park Conservancy are all together on the Arsenal rooftop on 5th Avenue right now to make "a major announcement." Elvis Duran and the Morning Show is also on hand, so if it wasn't already clear, the Black Eyed Peas, who promised they were not making music for a while, are going to attempt a return to Central Park. Maybe for Bon Jovi's 9/11 show? Because why else would Will.i.am, Elvis Duran, and Michael Bloomberg all be in the same room together?

The Black Eyes Peas were supposed to play the park in June, but Mother Nature stepped in to stop the show... which led to this mass exodus of BEP fans from the park, to the streets.

UPDATE: It's happening. Mayor Bloomberg announced that the Black Eyed Peas' Central Park show has officially been rescheduled for Friday September 30th.

  • That picture looks frightening. Nothing good can come out of a street filled with Black Eyed Peas fans

I don't believe in God.  But I still think He was trying to tell the Black Eyed Peas something in June...

I wouldn't chance it, guys -- the Big Dude's already told you that he prefers Simon & Garfunkel.  Hold that concert, and we might end up with a freakin' rain of frogs or something.
