Food Network Suing Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

"I’m driving the bus to Flavor Town!"

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, the self-explanatory Food Network show hosted by spike-haired brochef Guy Fieri, is at the center of an ugly lawsuit, and the allegations are nothing short of profane.

Way back in May, DDD producer David Page sued Food Network for breach of contract after the network refused to let Fieri tape more shows and tried to replace Page. Now, Food Network is counter-suing Page, alleging that Page failed to deliver footage on time and created an "intolerable" workplace, citing some very nasty emails from Page to his staff.

Page wrote to his employees, you are "a vile uninformed piece of shit," "you are one fucked up dumbass loser,” "“I hope you die so I can dance on your fucking grave," and "lets assume im a genius from now on. . . lets all assume i know what the fuck im doing. . . this is no longer a democracy.”

Food Network claims that Page's behavior became so bad that they asked him to change his tune, which he did not, at which point the Network barred Fieri from working on the show. But the real victim in this crime is us, the audience: who will show us how to get fat now?

I hope David Page is better at sending out his resume than he is at inventing and posting under different screen names and convincing ANYONE that it's not him.

    Dear Saffronrose,

This experience has been eye opening for me in terms of seeing the degree to which our society is now fueled by anger and anonymity. Who are you ... And why do you choose to dislike and defame me?
If you know me, if you think you have experience to reference, do so and attach your name.
If you are just some Observor choosing sides with no information to support your vitriol, how about you reconsider your life?
Losers and wannabes can anonymously say what they want. But people worth hearing stand behind their words.

    Best regards,

    David Page

As anyone who's worked in network television knows, David Page is not the only executive who's ever been caught sending an email laced with obscenities and as readers we are certainly missing half the story by not understanding the context in which the emails were sent.  DDD was a beacon for quality in a time when television programming seems to be racing towards the gutter.  I can't wait to see your next production Mr. Page.

Go Page! I've worked with some vile, uninformed, pieces of shit that the boss didn't call out. My question would be to the person the emails were to. Are you a vile, uninformed piece of shit? If these employees deserved it this may have made some other peoples lives better in the long run.  I'd assume they no longer work for the guy? While Horrible Bosses might be a movie everyone can relate to, so would Horrible Co-Workers.

I would be delighted to chat with anyone not defaming me from behind the anonymity of a screen name. Especially anyone doing so while questioning the propriety of my legal name change many, many years ago.
I can be reached at David@pageprod.com.

    Best regards,

    David Page

Guy Fieri sucks donkey balls. No coincidence he hosts "Minute to Win It," a phenominally retarded show.
