So, did you guys catch the Perseid meteor shower this weekend? The full moon made viewing less-than-optimal from New York, but you know where the moon doesn't interfere? In outer space.

"Bloggernaut" Ron Garan snapped this pic of a shooting star during the meteor shower from his post on the International Space Station. Whoa! His Twitter account also has some great space-view shots of lightning, volcanoes and islands on our fair planet.

Some intrepid skywatchers around New York did manage to catch the show, with MSNBC reporting "dazzling fireballs" from West Orange, New Jersey and plenty of eyewitness accounts from the East Coast flooding Space.com's Facebook page. Did you stay up for the shower? Send us your photos, but only if they're from space! [via Gawker]
