Cabbie Murdered For Fare On Hempstead Turnpike

A 32-year-old cabbie was fatally stabbed Thursday night during an altercation with another cab driver over a fare. 35-year-old Christopher Heron has been charged with the second degree murder of William Mena, after the pair allegedly fought about picking up a customer at Franklin Square in Nassau County.

Mena was reportedly stabbed in the torso around 9:30 p.m., and authorities found his body in a nearby parking lot. Both were drivers of Ollie's Taxi, the Daily News reports. Heron will be arraigned later today for Mena's murder. Mena's wife and two children survive him.

People take cabs when they have lots of packages, or because there is no mass transit close to where they are going, because they are too old/infirm to deal with mass transit, or it's late and UNSAFE on mass transit,

or because, ITS THEIR FREAKING RIGHT TO SPEND THEIR MONEY the way THEY WANT to get where THEY NEED TO GO, and not be told how to walk, talk, or chew gum by you watermelon wannabe dictators intent on telling everyone how to run their lives.

I used to work for the same company. The only bigger dirt bags then the drivers are the owners. The Blessinger's are crooks who have everything they get comming to them. Maybe now Nassau County will crack down on these criminals and the way the do business.
