This Combination Starbucks/McDonald's Can Only Be A Sign Of Pure Evil

mcstarbucks0811a.jpg

This is it fellow Americans, Starbucks has entered its sinister Phase Two of operations, which as far as we can tell from this photo begins with attaching itself to McDonald's, literally. Scouting NY spotted this combination Starbucks/McDonald's in College Point, Queens—which seems an unlikely place to root their flagship for world domination.

The company once warned the public: "Wait until you see the exciting changes we've got in store for you as part of our new Phase Two... you'll have no choice but to love it." Are you lovin' it? And are you also picturing a terrifying logo featuring Ronald McDonald with a mermaid tail?

How is this news?  This has been there ever since the College Point shopping center opened up in 2000.  They aren't even connected to each other.  They occupy the same building but have separate entrances and the drive thru is only for McDonalds.

  • Truth. This has been in College Point for close to 10 years now (if not longer). Soooooooo..overblown story? Slow news day? Laziness?

  • This is also called A HIGHWAY REST STOP.

  • I hate when things get blown out of proportions.  These places have been here for probably close to 10 years and they are two buildings that share some walls.  It is not new or a combined McDonalds/Starbucks.  News media...get your facts straight.

All they need now is to build a Walmart around it and a BP gas station near the end of the drive thru.

Sounds ok to me - ever taste what McDonald's considers coffee? It's scalding-hot brown water.

That photo caused a spasm in my large intestine

  • this has been in it's location for several years now.  they're also not really connected...they're two separate buildings that happens to be attached...two separate entrances.  it's on the outskirts of a huge shopping area in college point.  there's a bj's, toys r us, modell's, target, circuit city, staples, petco,etc... so i doubt this is part of some huge starbucks/mcdonalds takeover.
