A 63-year-old man who tried to hook up with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl came in for a surprise when the "teen" turned out to actually be an undercover cop. Michael Gruda was arrested on Monday night for an attempted criminal sex act with a minor. Between this and the City Island bar crackdowns, it seems like we could have a 21 Jump Street reality show in addition to a movie.

Gruda, a construction manager, had been chatting online for over a year with three different teens who he believed to be 14-year-old Queens girls...but all three were actually the same young-looking vice detective. When Gruda met with one of the three this week, he took her to a restaurant where she again stated her "age." Later, he asked if she knew a secluded location they could go to hookup, and she said her nearby home was empty; Gruda was arrested at the home, and faces up to four years in prison—which goes to show that you truly never know who you might be talking to online.
