Paladino also complained that "green requirements" aren't helping the economy,
"[Small businesses] are frightened to death. They are scared. They don’t know what the future holds. If we look at all of this subsidy money that is being spent on green requirements, look at the regulation that has brought on to the economy. The American people look at it and say why are we spedning money there. It’s not something I choose to get involved with."
People are scared to death of the future, & Carl's solution is to burn it down so there is no future to worry about! Slash regulations, slash environmental concerns, death to the future!

Carl, and people like him, do very well renting their buildings to state government for above market prices, then blast Albany for trying to tax them.
That's typical Republican MO: Health care for all is "welfare for parasites". Millions in tax dollars flowing into their bank accounts from back room deals is " the invisible hand of the market".
Yeah, we have a welfare market...unfortunately, the welfare is given to billionaires & corporations, where it disappears into their coffers. Neofeudalism, ho!
