Sex And The City Director Doesn't Want A Prequel

newacarrieyoung0711.jpg The ladies of Sex and the City may not be getting revirginized after all. Previously Sarah Jessica Parker said she wouldn't want Carrie to go back in time for a prequel (though she would go ahead five years for a third flick). Now Michael Patrick King, who directed both of the movies, says he won't be working on a prequel, either.

“My Carrie started at 33, and I took her to 43. I didn’t even want to know who her parents were. The idea of going back in time… and making her less evolved—the idea of going backward—is not something I’m interested in doing."

Should Candace Bushnell decide to go through with making Carrie less evolved, and less of a fashion icon, she's noted interest in casting Miley Cyrus or Blake Lively for the job.
