Alec Baldwin Will Host SNL For 16th Time, May Leave 30 Rock Next Year

Proving that New Yorkers and indeed the country has an unslakable thirst for the second-best Baldwin (our heart belongs to Billy), eldest brother Alec will be hosting SNL for a record 16th time for the show's 37th season premiere this fall. The news comes on the heels of Baldwin's rumored departure from NBC's 30 Rock after next year. Executive producer for 30 Rock and SNL Lorne Michaels tells the Times “I would hope he would want to go on, but we’re going to keep doing the show." And Stephen would be a seamless replacement!

The last time Baldwin hosted was for season 35's finale in May of 2010, and he's even said himself that his "days on network TV may be numbered." Will Baldwin just get it over with and announce his candidacy for mayor? There's no way that Ray Kelly could pull this Timecrowave sketch off.

My best Bud has had the misfortune of sitting near Alec Baldwin at restaurants in sag Harbor a few times. Apparently, he has the most disgusting BO ever. I don't care, I just can't stand the idea of an awesome semi-fictional universe without Jack Donaghy at the helm. He is seriosly one of the best charecters thats ever been on TV

  • He could call me a filthy pig any day. I love his voice. Rawr.
