I'm black and have been to this bar on many occasions and have had nothing but a great time with top notch service. Once there was a disturbance by a black man who could not accept that a white woman he was trying to hit on wanted no part of him. He became abusive to her and called her white bitch. The bar tender called security and had him removed. He said that black men are their biggest problem when rejected by white woman who are not interested in them and just want them to leave them alone. One black man went so far as to tell one she knew she wanted him because white women like black men because they have big penises and grabbed his. He created a profane laced commotion as he was escorted out of the bar by security and told never to come back. Of course his last words were that he was going to sue the bar.

An afro-american Texan, sues in New York! I'm sure, coming from Tx., the plainiff"s well educated in discrimination. Maybe the group, just could'nt handle the reality of being free. Over step bounderies, and now want to sue. Using the courts for discrimation should not implie that a party was disrupted. A sign of the ridiculous times. We've gone from Civil Rights to, you say what? WASTE OF TIME, AN REAL CIVIL RIGHTS STRUGGLERS BLOOD! 

to the two people arguing worthlessness.  Let's break down our history for a moment.  If you believe in science then their is no such thing as a pure bred White, black or any other race.  The human population has bottlenecked twice in our history on this planet (that means we were almost extinct at one time for those that are not sure what I'm talking about)  that means that the genes for all races are within each person.  What I do find kind of offensive is how you say that white people have cowtowed and allowed us to come to the U.S. and live a great life.  Thats such bullcrap.  The U.S. was stolen from the native americans and the people that stole it were the lowlifes and criminals of their former countries.  This country was built on money and thats the real racism in the world !  Class is the real racism.  Being black or white don't mean crap if you got money.  The Lawsuit is frivelous and I seriesly don't think its gonna go anywhere.

If a white person were treated the same in a predominantly minority bar/club it wouldn't be considered racist... so why is this? They were causing problems they got kicked out with a full refund, most of the time people get kicked out here your thrown out the door and lucky to not get your ass beaten. I don't know why Americans jump to the race card for absolutely every little thing.

Why don't they go to a black club and try to pull the same shit?  I doubt they'd get out alive to file a lawsuit.

I'll never understand why minorities always want to force themselves into places that don't want them...I'm sure there are lovely clubs in Harlem and Bed-Stuy that would love his business..whatever happened to the buy black movement?.Are the only nice upscale clubs white owned and white run?I thought white people are corny and boring why would this guy want to be in that club?.You don't hear white people complaining that they couldn't get into some club in Harlem.

Thanks for that trip down memory lane, which had all the sensibility of Plessy v. Ferguson (1896).  I don't remember hearing whites complain that they couldn't use the blacks-only water fountains.

You responded to Le Nwwaert, but if I may, you missed our shared point. My argument is that we can distinguish the Plessy days from today.  During the Plessy era, "separate but equal" was not, in fact, equal because minorities depended on government funds NOT equally dispensed.  Minorities today are in a position to create their own venues which are not only equal to, but can exceed, those of whites, thus leading to the possibility I mentioned above.  Why do you think this not possible?

I see your point and I am very aware it's possible (and it has been accomplished), but it's hardly a positive thing.  Segregation was better than slavery, but that doesn't mean segregation was a good thing either, whether legally mandated or self-imposed.  In reality there are places mostly white people go and places mostly black people go, and that's just a fact.  That doesn't mean a nightclub should be scaring away paying customers and telling them to go start their own nightclub where one race is unwelcome.  

Le Nwwaert sounded more like he was putting a modern spin on "send 'em back to Africa"-- namely, send them back to Harlem (as if black and Harlem were totally synonymous, and all black Americans are a homogenous group, etc).  I'll give the benefit of the doubt that that isn't what either of you really intended.  

In any case New York is what it is because of the cross-pollination of different cultures.  Seeing 200 different nationalities and ethnicities represented, watching the fireworks together on July 4th, made me proud to be a New Yorker. We would certainly not be better off if every race went to fend for themselves in self-inflicted ghettoes.  We'd wind up as deluded, closed-minded, and ignorant, as a run-of-the-mill Republican in Utah*.

As recent statistics indicate, people seem to self-segregate in general and this city is more segregated than ever before.  Given the tribal origins of humans, this isn't surprising.  That NYT map last year was really shocking.

The sad reality is that in general, the country has become MORE segregated over the past 40 years, not less.  People have very clearly chosen to live in self-inflicted ghettos, except where childless white people are willing to venture into certain neighborhoods like those in North Brooklyn.  

All that said, I'm really offended by your racist comments against white people in Utah, and by extension white people in general.   The United States is the only nation in history that has willingly allowed tens of millions of people of another race into their borders.  The vast majority of white people will do almost anything to prove how much they conform with politically correct ideals. They only draw the line when and if they have children as they will do anything to not send their kids to schools that are majority black.  But then again, everyone does this - even upper class blacks including the President himself.  

If anything however, your attitude would call into question the wisdom of the immigration policy of the US.  If a half century and a 100 million newcomers is not enough to prove conformity with your morality, what is?  By the end of the century, white people will essentially be extinct. Is that what you desire?  If genocide is your goal, why not just state it?

What statistics show that this city is more racially segregated than before? I've lived here for 40 years and ... um ...  New York is NOT MORE segregated than it was. There are pockets of segregation. There are neighborhoods that were formerly minority and have been displaced by a wealthier, lighter shade. Poor people have been magically erased from some neighborhoods...

As to your last comment, all people have a right to exist without others demanding they cease to exist. And please - organized rape is well recognized by even the UN as a form of genocide. It has been practiced for centuries and is still practiced in Africa. Now, you're not advocating militarized rape. Instead, you're advocating a moral crusade to force people to make such "choices". But the end result is the same, and regardless - historically that which you desire has been implemented in a fashion consistent with genocide.

In the end however, it is this hatred of white people that is irrational and wrong.

I'm sorry, but Republicans in Utah have a productive, safe, and civilized state that is a rarity in a world that is become more anarchic by the day. NO ONE there is ignorant. And your post contradicts your proclamations. Firstly, even federal law regarding endangered species does in fact refer to specific species in the way you describe. Polar bears for instance are perfectly capable of interbreeding with brown bears. One is endangered, and one is not. How is this any different?  And what do you desire? total interbreeding such that the distinction between two breeds of humans disappears.  If you advocated this for bears, and implemented it, you'd be breaking the law.

Finally, the point of demographics remains quite clear: White people are a tiny percentage of the world's population.  They have graciously given over a hundred million non-white people the opportunity to live in the productive, safe, and beautiful nation you enjoy today.  Billions of non-white people would give anything to come here.  Your hatred and racism isn't just insane, it shows how little gratitude you have for the people who have given you everything that defines your life.
