Lawyer Who Allegedly Shoved iPhone Down His Girlfriend's Throat Denies Wrongdoing

072311iphone.png While a grand jury decides whether or not to indict 37-year-old attorney Brian Anscomb on felony strangulation charges after he allegedly attempted to shove his iPhone down his 23-year-old girlfriend's throat, Anscomb appeared in court yesterday to sign a protection order preventing any contact with the woman. According to the criminal complaint, Anscomb, who is an intellectual property lawyer at Norris McLaughlin and Marcus, wrested open his girlfriend's throat with his fingers "then force-fed her his iPhone so violently that she suffered cuts in her throat."

Anscomb's attorney told the Post that there shouldn't be a "rush to judgment. He's denying there was any criminal conduct. Things find their way into complaints that should never be there and have no basis in fact." The complaint also states that less than a week before the incident, the two were arguing in Anscomb's Upper East Side apartment when he reportedly snapped his girlfriend's phone in half and punched her in the eye. Anscomb remains free on $5,000 bail and is due back in court in October for the grand jury's decision.

I wish he ride the 7 train with me. The ride to work would be much quieter.

I'd still hire this guy - not because he is a douche, but for his tenacity.
