Law & Order: SVU Takes On Arnold's Love Child

july21arnie.jpg Carrying on in its long and fruitful tradition of ripping stories straight from the headlines, Law & Order: SVU is apparently planning an episode based on the real-life Arnold Schwarzenegger secret lovechild scandal that ended his marriage with Maria Shriver.

In the TV version, fictional Andrew Raines, "a charming, seductive Master of the Universe-esque philanthropist in his 50s who is part of one of New York’s royal families" will have his affair and secret bastard child uncovered by his "charismatic and fiercely protective" wife Katherine, who isn't afraid to get "down and dirty" when attacked. Representatives for the show have yet to confirm the episode, which will supposedly air early in the show's upcoming (and sadly Meloni-less) 13th season, is officially a go, but it certainly sounds like a scandal right up their alley.

Still, it's important to remember that the show is, ahem, a work of fiction...but that doesn't mean we can't look forward to their treatment of DSK, too.
