Michele Bachmann Has Terrible Migraines...From High Heels?

2012 Presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann has a dirty secret that has nothing to do with her terrible Yiddish. Sources close to the Congresswoman say that she's often rendered "incapacitated" by migraines, even to the point of hospitalization, and she has to take a cocktail of meds to manage them. What's causing the migraines? Sources close to the campaign say, "Bachmann has implausibly blamed the headaches on uncomfortable high-heel shoes."

Migraines don't necessarily make a president ineffective: JFK had migraines (and claimed he got them, "If I don't have a woman for three days"). What's interesting is that advisers close to Bachmann fed the information to the Daily Caller "because they are terrified about the impact the condition could have on Bachmann's performance if she actually became president." Forget the fact that she hasn't passed a single bill and is a walking contradiction machine: her headaches make for bad policy!

Naturally a spokesman for her campaign told reporters that the information was "incorrect." But all we could focus on were the oodles of "pills" she takes: "she carries and takes all sorts of pills. Prevention pills. Pills during the migraine. Pills after the migraine, to keep them under control." Maybe she should tweak this excellent Destiny's Child song for her campaign? Last summer Bachmann was hospitalized in DC for migraines, and collapsed at a fundraiser in Greenwich, Connecticut. Her son, a doctor, tells the Times that his mother has found a "correlation" between high heels and the headaches, but not a "causation." She received "non-narcotic injections" when in the hospital and her medicines are to reduce pressure in her head and combat nausea.

Cheer up, Michele. The only headache that matters is the one you gave Mitt Romney thanks to the most recent polling.

Her bodyguards assaulted a reporter who attempted to ask her questions about this.

She's a hack and I will enjoy watching her lose to Obama.

I think this whacko causes more migraines than she has herself.

In addition to my many problems with her, I would never want a President whose problem-solving skills are so poor she can't make the logical leap from "debilitating headaches caused by high heels" to "stop wearing high heels."

Doctor it hurts when I do this.

    Don't do that.

    (Keeps doing it)

Big deal. I have migraines too and it doesn't interfere with getting my work done. My problem is with her blaming it on high heels...really Michelle?
  • cprensky
yes, this makes sense.  adhere to a complicated medical regimen, expensive drugs, hospitalizations for something "caused by high heels" but don't ever, ever wear different shoes!

  • Logic was never this woman's strong suit.  You're talking about a woman who use to work as an IRS attorney suing people for non-payment of taxes.  Apparently she had no moral or ethical problems with this.  Last year she told her constituents that they should shoot Census workers that come onto their property because the Census is unconstitutional!

This broads the pits, but are we really faulting her for having a medical condition?

I feel sorry for someone with so much energy, whatever their crazy ideas, being visited by the many plagues   this is only the start of a steady 1 year drip of negatives   good find all the you tubes of all the wild stuff she has said  'the press giveth and the the press taketh away'  she will be destroyed
  • JRod5417
    huh?
  • robingee
You see, what he's trying to say is... she's crazy, and the youtubes... and plagues and she's a negative drip. Right?
  • zombie_cakes
The migraines are Jeebus telling her "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
  • I bet right before her migraines she says, "I'm getting.... the fear"
  • Yeaaaaaaaah, it's the migraines that are the problem. Believe it or not, you could be president with migraines. Your brain still functions, it just hurts to think. But Bachmann's brain is malfunctioning anyway. It's a whole other problem.

    I'm fairly certain her biggest headache isn't a migraine - it's Markus.
  • I'll bet there's a strong correlation between migraines and  being a right wing religious nut.
